After three long months of being drug through a quicksale we are finally getting our house! YAY! After all this packing and putting up military clothes and moving them time after time knowing I'll never use them again I've got an idea. I want to use them to make a quilt. I know absolutely nothing about quilting but I know I want to make a quilt out of my old military clothes and possibly my first husbands as well for our son. I think he'll appreciate it and it'll be a way for him to have something of his dad's and be able to use it.

Playtime!
We caught Bugsy being a nut on the cat tower again. He uses his claws so much during his play. I don't see how anyone could fathom declawing their cat. It takes me a couple of minutes every other week to maintain my cats' claws. That simple act protects not only our skin, but our furniture as well. The most important thing though is that their paws are not partially amputated and they can still defend themselves.

BUGSY SEAGAL!
I love my rurnt baby. Research has told me that the manx breed began in the Isle of Man. We should have named him Dapper Dan instead of after a gangster.
Notice how he manages to snuggle with the controller just enough to get the blanket on high heat.
Such a personality he has! Manx cats are usually quite the characters.
Even Bessie knows he's a little insane.
He's so handsome!

YUM! Fritata!
So for breakfast this morning I thought I would try this recipe I found. (Here is the link) Instead of using half and half I used whole milk and instead of a muffin tin, I used a six inch cast iron skillet. I added bacon, spinach, and shredded cheese as the filling and probably baked it a little too long.
Thanks to this nifty trick I found. (link here) I was able to coat the pan with bacon grease mixed with flour. It worked very very well!
Downtown Anniston, Alabama
I have a lot of decor planning to do for the new house. One of my projects I am working on is a wall dedicated to our hometowns. I have not had the chance to be in Tuscaloosa at 6 AM, but I'm almost finished editing the Anniston photos. I'm not sure if I want to use them all and I may add more to the mix. Life is unpredictable like that. But what I do know is that I have a plan in action. :) Here is my progress so far.
